Arkansas Union

So if one was to portray a basic 1st Arkansas Union Infantry Private say 1864.
Forage Cap
Sack Coat
Sky Blue Wool Trousers
An the basic leather gear?

Sounds logical to me, and certainly easier than some unusual early-war militia outfit like zouaves or chasseurs.

Well the reason for the question is that my group is looking at portraying this unit and I need a uniform guideline. I was thinking they were probably issued the same as the 1st and 2nd Kansas Colored infantry since they were issued government straight issue.

They were issue sacks and forage caps.
