Amos Parks - Looking for information

I am looking for any information on Amos Parks. my G-G Grandfather

He was born 1835 in Hocking, Ohio. He mustered in on January 30, 1864 to Company "B" 40th Illinois Infantry and was died of wounds he received on July 28, 1864 in Atlanta.

Any deeper information would be greatly appreciated!

I gathered this from "Find a Grave"

John and Elizabeth Parks, had 3 sons die in the Civil War, Jesse and Jacob Parks from disease, and Amos Parks killed

1. Amos Parks died 07-25-1864 after receiving a head wound in action near Atlanta, GA.

2. Jacob Parks was left at Camp Pickering, Memphis, TN 11-26-1862. On 02-19-1863 he was discharged and boarded an Illinois Central train for Vandalia, IL. He died on the train between Cairo and Odin, IL, of chronic diarrhea.

3. Jesse Parks died from disease on Nov. 20, 1862 in the Louisville Military Hospital in Louisville, Kentuckyand is buried there.

Amos would have been my G-G Grandfather and Jacob and Jesse my 2nd Great Grand Uncles.

I would love to know more about all three, but especially Amos.
