All I can speak to is my own experience. Navy Arms was an importer bought out by Euroarms IIRC. I have seen a Miroku stamped with Navy Arms and still own an M1841stamped with both Navy Arms and Euroarms. What you can be certain of is that it will not be a fly by night India or Paki made stove pipe with a touch hole drilled in after importation. It will have actually been manufactured as a firearm and more likely than not of decent quality.

It looks like from the 70s or 80s only thing is it has the ugly hooded sight on the front

The hooded sight is easily removed.
