Wool coat storage

I hardly artillery frock completed, over a $300 investment and I want to take care of it. I have a dog so I thought I would store it in my closet in a nylon garment bag to help keep hair off of it.is it a no no for some reason to store a wool coat long term in a garment bag ? Should I keep garment bag unzipped in front to let my coat breath? Or should I not store it in a garment bag at all and just have my coat against Wall with a bunch of other clothes on hangers to be a buffer?

I have a new expensive wool artillery frock.i want to protect it and am hanging it in my closet in a garment bag.i have a dog and do not want hair on my coat.is long term storage safe for the wool in a garment bag? Should I leave the front of garment bag unzipped to let frock breath?Should I not store it in garment bag at all and just hang a bunch of clothes behind the frock to act as a buffer?

Can't tell you about new ones but when I owned 2 original CS coats they were in helium bags when I didn't have them displayed. I would take it a dry cleaner that also stores items like wedding dresses and furs. (sorry PETA)

Yes but the back bedroom where the closet is has no vents, it's always a little warmer.not extremely though, I can sleep there without fan

In your lifetime I don't think hanging in a closet with your other clothes will be an issue. Most of us hang our various reproduction wool coats and jackets that way.

Is zipped up in and hung in a garment bag on the racknin the closet ok.? Or shpuld it be out to breath?

i would use cedar wood lining or at the very least cedar chips to protect your investment.
