What is everything in the box worth?

I deal in pre-1899 antique firearms for a living and I deal with a lot of US Civil War items but I really don't do buttons or any other relics like this

The box was offered to me for $100, what is it worth and should I go for it?

I'd jump on it for $100. Not sure if you sell at shows, but there's all kinds of opportunity here. Some of the coat buttons are pre WW1 eagles, then some NY, and some standard Federal CW era, plus a Fed I in shield. Coins and a breast plate. Nice selection of bullets. Get it!

I'd buy it. I have an unusual interest in "collections" -- I don't even know what the individual items are worth, I just think it's interesting that someone presumably dug them all and made the effort to assemble them in a nice case together. The items were important to someone. Too bad we don't know who. Maybe all the items came from the same battlefield. Maybe even the same little square acre of the battlefield. I just like to ponder what people put together as a "collection." So I'd spend the $100 in a heartbeat.
