NF Weirdest ACW Author Ever...?

Non-Fiction
Oh, that would have been something else, from socal to Utah. It was bad enough when I went from San Fran to Iowa. FLDS is another realm.
As is getting use to snow up to your knees isn't challenge enough, if you want details PM me.

Well, be a meany ☹️

Maybe because I sit here in Utah, seeing firsthand the hell people face who want to exit a certain religion. The horror is prevalent. The years it took to even try to think clearly outside the "faith" -- then to get the strength to leave & be shunned as an apostate. It's -- no words. No words can cover what that is, esp for the gay & lesbian folks.
Apples and oranges, as they say. Grifters are grifters. That has nothing to do with folks who leave an organized religion for personal reasons. This character is way outside his lane weighing in publicly on the ACW. He's begging for blow back and he's getting it.

Do you find him insincere, then? He comes across to me like he truly believes what he's saying. I've only watched what's posted here though.

To be fair, I've had dealings with a lot of LDS and former LDS. FLDS is a whole other "can of worms". All of the folks in my first sentence regard FLDS as unhinged - and I'm putting it nicely.
The few LDS I've met were very nice and cordial people, unlike Brother Breaker.

I should probably mention that he says in one of his videos that he would outlaw all non-Evangelical religions if he got his way. As a Catholic I'd be one of the "infidels".

To be honest, I really don't care if he's "sincere". How on earth is the offal he's spewing related to his alleged vocation? It isn't. So whether he "believes" it or is just tossing it out there to cultivate an alleged "congregation", he's invited the response.

Being labeled an "infidel" by this bird is something to be framed on your wall. He really needs to drill into his apparently obtuse gray matter Inspector Callahan's sage advice at the end of Magnum Force.

I find the difference fascinating, but your mileage obv varies. I like to separate out the ones with bad intent from the ones sincere. Sure, a person runs a stop sign & kills a someone. The intent can be there or not, though the result is the same. That's interesting to me in law & elsewhere.

If you want to read a good book about the crazies in the off shoot sects like FLDS and others, (yeah, there are others) look for
Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer

In Breaker's video from post #27 go to 21:46 for it. He doesn't say "infidel" but based on him being anti-Catholic and believing in the Anti-Semitic Rothschild conspiracy theory...well...there you go.

As for me, it's easy. A 'sincere" poser who foists junk on the public is no better than an "insincere" one. I'm not wasting my time coming up with meaningless distinctions. And if this character is "anti-papist" I'd have no problem inviting him to step outside. Especially if he's "sincere".

I'm not sure anybody who hasn't been around LDS folks understands how at least most of them feel about FLDS. That's true of any organized religion that has an unhinged extremist faction.
