I have had a beard since getting out of the Army. I have shaved mostly for WWII reenactments. Other than that I don't. I keep it well trimmed so it does not become a soup strainer. I do not post pictures of myself on line, so you only have my word for it. It is true though. Thanks for the great thread!

That little kid looks as though she/he is having the time of their lives. Usually I see them either screaming or pooping/peeing on poor Santa. Looks like a Santa that enjoys his job.

Actually my great-grandfather had a trimmed beard in the photo of his GAR unit. Another relative of mine is also in the photo. He also has a trimmed beard.
