cant help but wonder what the southerners, leaders of va. from the civil war era would think of the way virginia has turned out now.
 
I'm confused about what you mean by "the way that Virginia has turned out now." Are you referring to modern politics? (I apologize in advance if I am misinterpreting this as an attempt to bring up modern politics.)

Are you referring to modern technical innovations such as autos, planes, the federal highway system, the internet, modern medicine, air conditioning, the modern economy, the enormous amount of well-paying federal government jobs in NoVa, the existence of the Pentagon, Virginia's role in the strength of the world's superpower, etc?

Or are you referring to something regarding the administration of Virginia museums and such tourist attractions as Arlington House, Monticello, Montpelier, etc?
