Let me preface this by saying that my roots in Virginia are early (1600's) but my line has been gone from there for over 200 years. I have visited a few times including a couple visits to the land on which my ancestral relatives lived (an almost holy experience). Is it weird then that these pictures tug at my heart and almost make me feel "homesick"? Beautiful pictures - please post more!

I'll see what I can do.

Thank you! I had distant relatives (not my direct line) in Groveton at that time and according to some sources, they lived very near where your picture was taken - how cool is it that you picked that picture for me! Ok, a little creepy but very cool!!
I'd rather be lucky (or creepy) than good.
