Thanks for sharing this I have drove by the exit several times and have seen the sign about Governor later Senator Vance's birthplace but never have had the chance to go to the site.

Beautiful. I remember driving by the exit a few times when I lived in N.C, just never bothered to stop (I was usually on my way to somewhere; it wasn't near where I lived). Thank you for the lovely pictures!

I remember it was near Christmas when we went there. They had old fashioned decorations up. I bought some homemade ornaments. Just love them as made from natural materials from the area.

Has anyone heard whether talk to close Vance's birthplace. I know they taking down statues to him. Just wondered. It was a nice place to visit.
