A battle flag presented to the people of Ireland by US president John F Kennedy in 1963 will finally go back on display in Leinster House after years in storage.

They are on display in the parliament building in Dublin. I was only in the building once. I got an invite via family to an open day. It's more of a practical building than a piece of great architecture. I would have loved to see them colours though. I might need to write to one of my four local TD's (members of parliament) for a day pass . I'll start with the one I actually voted for

There was campaign a few years ago to have the flag moved to the national museum. The flag was mentioned on a podcast by a local historian. I know the chap from my local soccer club , the next time I meet him in passing I'll ask him for more information on the flag.
