From the photos of the hooks I'm going reproduction. below is an original. Yours does not appear to have the beveled edges of the belt keeper.

Sorry to say, I believe yours is either an abused reenactor's piece, or an intentional attempt to 'create' a period piece. The lead seems a bit too fresh... over 150+ years, a textured, almost granular oxidation takes place with lead that is just not evidenced on your belt plate. Also, as @ucvrelics points out, the hook would be beveled on an original piece, and both the hook and prongs would have been a bit beefier, though the lighting in your photographs may be misleading. Finally, though looking 'beat up' I don't see evidence of the normal 'rub marks' from typical wear and tear on the obverse side of the belt plate.

I am not, however, an expert in these things, only somebody who has seen a great many originals and fakes. For your sake I hope I'm wrong, but I don't feel that I am.
