Unknown relic sword

I recently obtained this relic sword and have no idea what it is. The wood handle is gone, no markings I can find. Has a big heavy fullered blade and 7 holes poked through the handguard. According to the previous owner, this sword was found in an old house clean out in Richmond Va.

I cleaned this old sword a little bit and found some marks on the handguard. I believe it spells C Jurmann on the Guard. Can't make out the other word on the last picture.

I would like to get some wood handles put on this old sword. Anyone know somebody who can do this work economically?? Obviously I don't want to spend too much money on this tired sword.
