Trapdoor assistance

I would like some expert help with a Trapdoor I have....it is .50 caliber , has a lined barrel , OAL is 47 1/2" cleaning rod is 31 3/4" long date on the RHS of plate ( behind Hammer) is 1865 on the top of the trapdoor is stamped 1866..it looks like the fore end of the furniture has been cut down and had a barrel ring before. There is no serial number present....any help would be most welcome Grahame
 
Agree, pictures are a must. Given the markings and lined barrel it sounds as though you have some variant of a Model 1866/second Allin conversion. This is what they should look like:
