Hi everyone,

This is only about 2 inches in size but with a very detailed wreath and uncommon US embroidery. Normally you would find an embroidered US on a staff piece or an army regulars insignia. This is soft insignia without a metal stiffener. Multi layered construction with the correct color stitching on felt or wool perhaps. It also has a ledge on top of the turrets for lack of a better term. This ledge that stands out is supposed to be a determining factor in authenticating the castles

@FrankN Yes, it would be something like this. The officers wore embroidered pieces while the enlisted men had brass pieces. The differences are that enlisted is brass with the yellow color while officer castles are silver
