That´s encouraging. Every reenactment is someone´s first. I used to be one of the people to complain about eyeglasses, but the facts are that more people wear glasses now than did even 30 years ago, are not really able to do without them and period eyewear isn´t cheap. I wear my contacts most of the time. In the last few years, I´ve taken the field without my glasses at all. My eyesight has actually improved a bit as I´ve aged. That´s the upside of my corneas hardening.

I remember the young man Christian and how his reenacting experience was. There needs to be no gate keepers when it comes to history, cwt especially. I see that too often from folks, if you aren't perfect you're a chump and will be derided as such, that is not how we grow our numbers. You know who you are.

We all been Bullied sometime in our lives. Some still do it as Adults. If it does not kill you just let it make you stronger. Laugh it off and drive on. The internet made everyone a tough guy. I even laugh at myself all the time. Just look at all that's going on wrong in the world and feel lucky it's not you in it. Makes our problems seem small.

I have never reenacted (yet) but farbing drives me crazy.

I always hope that an idividual will love what they´re doing so much, and have an encouraging unit to help them, that they´ll leave the egregious farbisms behind.
