First published in Miller's Photographic History Of The Civil War in 1911, this photograph supposedly shows artillery placed on General Ulysses S. Grant's last defensive line at Shiloh on the afternoon of April 6, 1862.

I have my doubts about the authenticity of that picture. Were there ANY verified photographs taken during the battle at Shiloh?
