I have my doubts about the authenticity of that picture. Were there ANY verified photographs taken during the battle at Shiloh?

This would have been taken at some time after the battle. Probably when the others were taken at Pittsburg Landing.

And these two photos have been verified by Garry Adelman (IIRC). Madison's Battery B, 2nd Illinois "Light" had M1819 24 lb guns in the final line, as shown in the photo in the OP.
