Dr. John Watson Morton
The following was written by former Capt. John W. Morton describing his introduction of Forrest into the Klan. This is a man who was there. He was Grand Cyclops of the Nashville Den. He writes in the third person with respect to himself. Dr. Watson defends the Klan of which he was a part as being necessary for civil justice and peace and talks about the time when it had served it's purpose and was shut down in Tennessee. This is his description of the entry of Nathan Buford Forrest to the group of Klansmen in Nashville.
