Taking requests on colorization

Wow. You did some great work there. Pickett--my goodness! I've always thought his portrait just didn't live up to.....well, HIM. Awesome! Love your Wheeler and Kirby Smith, too!
Hah - I actually thought Pickett was my worst! Thanks man. Wheeler was a bit of a tough one because of the small size but I think I pulled it off. You don't think Kirby is too pale?

Well, now that you mention it, they probably were all darker than what we're thinking because they would be outdoors quite a bit. Do you know what a "farmers' tan" is? That's where you have a pale forehead because you wear a hat.....I'm thinking you can see a bit of that difference in Smith....and I know there is in the B&W of Stonewall! (Hopefully they weren't quite that bad!)

Here's an example, LMAO!

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat's not exactly nice to look at. He has a beautiful eye color though. You can see it in generals/soldiers with a receeding hairline.

Just colored John Quincy Adams - I also removed all of the 'noise' that it was possible to get out of it.

It's worth noting that the photograph of this image was taken in 1843 (It was probably older than that, the original was lost) and was the earliest known photograph of a president.

He looks like he wants to smack somebody upside the head in that picture.

He'd be interesting, wouldn't he! We can throw in the other brother-in-law as well - A P Hill. He had auburn hair - sure had a bunch of redheads in that day! Hill was a really handsome man, too, before he got sick.
