Taking requests on colorization

Wilber if you see this - were you coloring your Buford uniform with Overlay like I did in this image? It looks pretty good to me.

I've been doing some new things recently, trying to make people look way more realistic. Am I doing good?

Fixed his skin color, added a little rosy to his lips.

I like these Zuz, especially the color of the uniforms. I like the darker blue in them - at least it seems they are darker than some previous photos I've seen colored in. Good job.

I noticed a recurring trend in both Gettysburg and Wilber's coloring where the uniforms were generally darker.

I think they are all good, Sumner is my favorite in this batch. Real character in the face I think.
Come to think of it - he does look god **** amazing.

I finished Gettysburg. Learned some new things about that battle.

I'm definitely sure I'm going to rewatch it. Is Gods and Generals worth watching?
Yes, I think you would enjoy it as well. I liked Gettysbug better, but For the Civil War buff it is also must see. As I told you when I suggested Gettysburg get the bluray version as it has the deleted scenes restored.

I had a 4:26:30 (total amount of footage not accounting for credits) directors cut version. I think it was the deleted scenes included.

Sounds about right. Gods and Generals was made after Gettysburg though the time frame was before Gettysburg. They restored a lot of things not seen on the dvd version. I think you will like it.

I'm sure I'll love it. :D
Thanks again man.

Hey, I didn't keep a psd file, so not sure but it might have been I initially used overlay, then switched to soft.. Now I try both and see which looks better..
I personally think overlay gives a deeper color while soft simply gives a softer (hence the name one would assume), which I find better for Confederates than Yankees.

Also seems to be related to each image for some reason.. Overlay looks better in some and too much in others using the same color code lol...Trial and error lol
