Taking requests on colorization

3½ minute video, rendering now, expect about 20 minutes just for rendering. I could have it up on YouTube in a half hour maybe. It's funny seeing me color sped up about 300%. :D

Edit: An hour is more precise.

Send me your txt file and I will make a swatch for you so you do not have to keep switching back to it and copying the HEX's, all you will have to do is click the color/ description in the swatches window.

Or you can create one yourself by first oping swatches in Window | Swatches and then I recommend dragging it up over to the dock container with your colors and styles windows as it does not seem you are using those anyway.

Now for the repetitive Part. In your swatches tab it has one of the default swatch sets open with a bunch of colors. You need to delete all of these colors. Hold down [CTRL]+[ALT] and click each color to erase them. (122 times if the default windows swatch set is open.)

Now your swatch set is empty. Click on the swatches menu button and click "small list"

Now from your text file copy a HEX and paste it in the "Color Picker" and click OK. then just simply click in the swatches window and it will add that color. It will pop up asking for a name, and name it what you have as the name in the text file. Do this for all of the colors.

Now save the swatch set so you can switch to other sets and also easily send that set to people with Photoshop. Save it by going to the menu button in the swatches window and then choose "save swatches."

You can now switch between multiple swatch sets for different jobs, and have made your life a whole lot easier.

It sounds simple - yeah. However I'm used to copy-pasting and most colors would look slightly (very slightly) different to others with very small scale differences wouldn't they? I doubt I can remember them but it sounds like something I need to try.

It's pretty simple when you get to actually see it isn't it?

not too intimidating, when i get some spare time i may just invest in some good software, then you can bet i'm gonna be asking you for some tips  :D

Torrenting is your best bet. Photoshop is expensive as all hell, even giving $70 is too much for me because I'm a broke student. Having a job would give me more leverage to spend money on things I do solemnly enjoy and use I guess.

hey thanks for the info Zuzah
can't rightly say if i was all that broke when i was student since it was when the dinosaurs roamed the earth  ( i'm kidding of course )
however, quite a few of my online conspirators rec torrent so i most like will give it a try.
hey this crew is full of genuine desperados so why not?

Yes, Hard to see color differences, which is why I mentioned to put it in list view so it shows the descriptions. so like your notepad but ALSO shows the colors and no copy/pasting

Also, Adobe now has what is call Adobe Creative Cloud, where instead of buying Photoshop for $999 you get all of the Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for publishing and graphics/photo editing and Dreamweaver for web development; Premier and Audition for video and audio, and many other programs) all for only $49 a month.

Recognize anyone? The hint is in the fact that the second fella lying down, and the first guy standing on the right are both in my previous image where a guy smokes a long (long) pipe of hemp (It would appear.).

Description said Engineers of Company D, as is also enforced on their 'D' markings on their hats. The 'C' on the third seated fellow wouldn't happen to stand for Cavalry?

Zuzah, I would like to see the picture of the sharpshooter at Devil's Den in color, could you do that?

I know this, but how many of you do, that the photo was staged. My tour guide back in 2004 told me that, and I remember it today! The photo was stage, the man had actually died away from the perch there in the picture and they moved him there.
