Queen Victoria's own chief cook, Charles Elmé Francatelli, whipped up this easy recipe, which he claimed was "most excellent for children's breakfast." Nowadays, we just buy condensed milk.

Ingredients:
3 oz. corn flour
1 qt. of milk
1 oz. sugar
Dash of cinnamon
Pinch of salt

Instructions:
Mix all of the ingredients over heat, stirring constantly as it boils, until thick.

I bet this would be excellent on fresh strawberries! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
It probably would. Minus the cinnamon, it would probably taste like condensed milk. Strawberries with condensed milk is a popular sweet treat in Central America. So popular that condensed milk comes in little single serving cans or tubes so you can take it with you for lunch at school or work!
