Stone Mountain Half Dollar

I bought one rather cheaply some year's ago because it had a few scratches on the reverse side. It looks like someone took a pocketknife to it. These were deliberate scratches. It'll never make a decent grade but it could make a nice belt buckle. Shame my gut got too big to wear the plate style buckle.I got a cigar box full of buckles that I can't wear anymore.I guess I need to find a skinny nephew.

I think even without inflation these coins will increase in value just because they're becomming better known. Sadly also what "they"are planning to do to the real Stone Mountain (the coin's namesake) will keep the name in the limelight.

I am wondering how prevalent they are among collectors, and especially with estate sales, and other market places.

The silver Commemorative Half Dollars minted between 1892 and 1954 have always been popular with collectors with certain ones being popular with non-coin collectors.
