Starr Model 1863 SA revolver

Happened onto this Starr SA revolver today..44 caliber. Not in mint condition by any means, but not terribly common around here. Thought you guys might like to have a look.

I enjoy seeing weapons with patina, it's far better than looking at something in near mint condition. Would it still be safe to use?
