How about a mug of streaming pumpkin latte on one of these chilly Fall mornings. This recipe is from "The Amish Cook".

Homemade Pumpkin Latte

1 tablespoon of pumpkin
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup brewed coffee

Blend together and heat in a small sauce pan. Pour into a large mug and put a dab of whipped topping on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

A wonderful treat with breakfast.

I love to make Pumpkin Bread and have it for breakfast. Also the Pumpkin bagels at Panera are delicious.
Over here we have Pumpkin Bread and Pumpin Scones perhaps. But pumpkin is mainly roasted or mashed as a vegetable. You rarely see pumpkin pie for example. But I like the pie.

... and Pumpkin Muffins too. We have them around at places.

Luv my Coffee strong and bold with real cream (no sugar, yuck). I cannot do flavored coffee's anymore, it must be because I do not use Sugar. But I do like Cappuccinos with Hazelnut syrup for some reason. Oh, dig the pumpkin bread, yummy :)

Love strong coffee... If the spoon doesn't dissolve, it's too weak! Can't do dairy much but sugar just spoils the coffee for me. My sister will dampen her sugar with a little coffee, though.

This is a bit different but my favorite fall-winter favorite would be what my grandmother calls "Russian Tea". Warm black tea, orange juice and a dash of cinnamon. Eases a sore throat and keeps you warm inside on a cold day. The name probably implies that vodka is used in some mixtures but I refrain in mine.

Another great winter treat with coffee is "Spiced Java".

2 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup cold water
4 whole cloves
1/4 cup cold coffee
2 1/2 cups milk
pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Combine cocoa, sugar, water, cloves; heat, stirring, until it comes to a boil. Add coffee. Mix with milk, salt and vanilla extract. Heat until warm. Serves 3.

May be garnished with whipped cream.

"May be garnished ..."??? In my case compulsory!
