We are an independent lot aren't we lol But as I recall I think there were quite a few loyalist units from your neck of the woods composed of Scots-Irish...
The vast majority of Patriots from SC were Scots-Irish but the majority of Loyalists were composed of the same. It was brother against brother at times. Some switched sides at least once. Strange thing, after the Rev. War most of the Scots-Irish Loyalists didn't leave the area, at least the ones not known to commit atrocities. Some were burned out and forced to leave though.
