There is nothing like Gumbo for cold weather. This old recipe is from "Old Time Recipes To Enjoy", "The Kentucky Explorer Magazine".

Two tablespoons of melted butter, one chopped onion, two cups of tomatoes, two cups of fine cut okra, one cup chopped green peppers, two cups of hot water, one half teaspoon celery seed, salt and pepper.
