I posted a queston to this forum but forgot to use the new post thread, my question is on someone else's thread and I apologize for that! Original question, there was a movie/T.V. series? I think called "1861" made in the late 1990s, can't remember where I watched think at home on T.V., is it available somewhere today? DVD? and did I get the title correct? Thanks for any help you can give!

I don't remember the series, but I was never a cable or satellite customer, so that influenced my viewing choices. I'm responding to help keep your thread alive until some knowledgeable person sees it and responds to it. Hang in there!

Could it be the 1993 Spielberg TV movie "Class of '61", about a couple of West Point classmates?
It's so-so. Not "bad." Not great.

That was my thought as well.

I have a copy of it on DVD, it's not on DVD in this country. The official DVD is Region 2. mine is ok in the US, Region 1. I enjoy watching it every now and again.
