Is the serial on this 1858 Remington New Model Belt Pistol , 0609 or 6090?

Welcome, enjoy. I'm sure you meant 1858. I would believe 6090. If the grips will come off easily, the number should also be on stamped in the metal. Holding revolver in normal firing position should show correct version
