Impressions Reenactor Humor

Changed my birthday more than once. 🤣

My first reenactment was at age 13 (or 12, can't remember precisely). There were a whole host of battlefield "jobs" not open to me then that would be now. I gave up trying to explain away the aging and just threw out the old "me" altogether 😄

Some more humor. 😆
"That will be six orders of salt pork, eight sides of hardtack, and four small cups of sloosh, please. Oh, and coffee beans."

I walked into a KFC dressed for WWI accompanied by a fellow dressed as a Confederate to bring lunch back for a Living History Time line. The older woman cashier at the counter didn't bat an eye and made a comment about him coming in for some "down home style fried chicken, must be a nice break from hardtack and beans."
