One of our posters that we all know and love ( in a very platonic sense) derides Unionist troops vs CSA troops has more noble and brave. Well America is the land of second chances. The 1st Ark composed of many CSA deserters broke and fled at the battle of Prairie Grove. None the less they more then made up for their first time jitters they killed over 200 guerrillas in Northern Ark the best tally of any federal unit in Ark. They more then held up in the defense of Fayetteville ,Ar on April 18th 1863.CSA General Cabbell admitted they fought has well has any federal troops he ever encountered.
