ramrod bread?

I've wrapped rolled out biscuit dough around ramrods and cooked it over a fire during summer living history programs with school students. Works well enough if the kids pay attention and it doesn't seem to damage the ramrods.

Yep, @donna and @JohnW. - Shelby Foote's sloosh. I've actually never heard it called ramrod bread, but I like it.

1. Bread made from grounded up ramrods.

Now THAT is some serious Chuck Norris breakfast. Out of ammo? Start spittin' bread crumbs at them fools!
