Please help identify this Belgian(?) musket

Hey Guys,

I would appreciate some help indentifying this musket I recently purchased at auction. It was represented as this:

Belgian Model 1842 Rifle
Manufacturer: Belgium
Model: Percussion Rifle
Gauge: 75
Barrel: 34 1/4 inch part octagon

I'd love to know more info such as manufacturer and date.

The E LG in a circle a means Liege 1810 onward but a crown was added in 1893. Get a copy of the book Firearms From Europe Second Edition. Pics of it on page 122-123. Belgium contract of the French Model 1859 Short Rifle. Also called a Belgium Naval Musketoon or Pondir Rifle. On page 111 it goes into it with 4 paragraphs. The Union purchased 10,000, the CSA none.
