I'm always looking for clever ways to display my collection. Long arms are easy, but smaller items aren't necessarily so. Figured I'd post a couple pics on how to easily display small, knick knack items and/or pistols easily so that they can be enjoyed vice being out of sight. Easy to make, just simple plaques from the hobby shop for bases, with whatever configuration you choose to add.

Dave does have a nice collection, may be we can get him to show the long guns:rofl:

Unfortunately, at some point in collecting; memory is often replaced by tags and spreadsheets.

@redbob Dave is one of us, Long on collecting, short on time and short on memory. He is also new owner of the C&B.

About those tags... The red ones are a brief description, so the "can I look at your collection" folks, won't require hours of verbage. The little discs are numbers for the related bar codes to sort an Excel spreadsheet type of catalog. I'm up to bar code 1001 yesterday {that includes a lot of sold items through the years.}
Thanks to all for the kind remarks.

Those are great displays and yeah thats a nice collection there.

I think its really neat that those two excavated from battle fields "died" with their hammers back.

Nice setups!

Just curious, how often do you clean? By clean, I mean just wiping the dust off, check for rust, maybe add a little fresh oil/lube if needed, a coat of wax and then put back in the display.

The "stuff" is kept in a six sided, 5" thick, closely mesh re-barred concrete room with a steel vault door. This has a separate Halon fire system and heating / air system holding 70 degrees F year round. As a result there is very, very little dust or humidity, which in the South can be a real problem.
The more valuable stuff is Renaissance waxed, wood, metal and leather. On the rest of the metal I use Balistol, very thin. Stocks, pistol grips, etc, get a very light rub with Kramer's Best.
