Anybody recognize this patch?

Going out on a limb, but this really looks like a very well heeled group, they have expensive uniforms and boots, the private on the end has a velvet collar! The officers appear to have staff straps, so I'm going to say that this is an headquarters group or general's escort.

Mike, where did you locate this picture?

Mike, where did you locate this picture?
Library of Congress #01965. (I see I left off the LOC in the original post.)

I was able to locate on the Library of Congress site and blow it up, they appear to be signal corps, by the insignia on the Lieutenant's kepi. The soldier all the way to the left actually has the standard signal corps patch on his sleeve. I imagine they are standing outside their HQ with a wire heading into the structure, I confirmed that it was not a crack in the plate. I guess the signal corps took care of telegraph as well, never really thought about it.

This is great. Signals Corps. I imagine their uniforms might be somewhat cleaner than the infantry. Yes, a wire. I thought Signal Corps and Telegraph Corps were separate. I could be wrong. Trying to find a map of City Point and figure out were The Plateau is. Thanks, P4!

I really like the patch. very unique for the time. I have been to City Point many times, and I am having trouble finding the plateau my self. I really like the image, thanks @Mike Serpa for the interesting topic. It is the little thing like this I like so much. The patch reminds me of a Korean War Kcom patch.
