As far as I have ascertained, the Chattanooga Rebel had moved south ahead of Bragg's move toward Crawfish Springs, along with the hospitals that could move, by train. I do not remember for sure if they moved a big printing press set up in a warehouse downtown, or destroyed it. They may have taken it by rail as early as June that summer. At least one reporter stayed behind.
