Old Fashioned Ting-a-Lings, made with melted chocolate and cereal, have been around a very long time and are one of the easiest candies to make. They are a fantastic addition to any sweets tray. So here's how you can Ting-a-Ling!

Variations:
You can also use a combination of chocolate pieces with butterscotch or other flavored pieces. You can also use your favorite crunchy dry cereal - Cheerios, Chex, Rice Krispies, etc. work well. Some folks substitute Chow Mein noodles and make Haystacks.

There are lots of optional add-ins for Old Fashioned Ting-a Lings. Consider adding chopped pecans, chopped cashews, chopped macadamia nuts, toasted, chopped or sliced almonds, dried cranberries, mini marshmallows or any combination.

Ellie. My grandmother used to make a similar candy around the Christmas Holiday. She used both white and dark chocolate and the candies had various nuts mixed throughout them. As I recall she did not call them ting-a-lings but referred to them by another name. Another award winning recipe in my opinion. Keep the Faith. David.
