I seldom open a thread that has a Inflamatory title. this post is a prime example of why not. Grant picked some of his battles, and inherited some.
Grant and the Navy , in the west, had better relatinships than most before and since.
No mortal has never made a mistake, but few will admit major ones in there memoirs. When you do find one mark it you have to look for them.
