Keep in mind that these pictures were painted on a piece of paper the size of a baseball card. No easy task.

I know an artist that draws really detailed portraits that are just a bit larger than a business card....really nice work. Not a skill I possess so I draw large. Ya' gotta have the hands of a surgeon to do that kind of quality small work.

The Bottony Cross on this infantryman's chest shows that he is a Marylander. It's a symbol taken from Lord Baltimore's coat of arms and worn by many of the rebels from the "Old Line State" in the Confederate army.

Nice job.
