Need help to ID and date buttons

Good morning, I would appreciate any help in identifying and dating these 5 buttons. The only one I know for sure is the B & O railroad button but I am not sure when it dates to.Thank you in advance

Except for the Navy button the rest are civilian buttons and all the back-marks are post CW.

major bill, thank you for your response, also very informative in it's own way. Since I don't collect buttons and have only these 5 I just thought I'd ask.
