Need help Quick at local auction ! Confederate?

I just found this in a box lot at a local auction. Is this a confederate solider? I need to figure it out before it came up to bid. Your help is greatly appreciated!

If you get it make sure and get all the info you can as to where or what was the name of the family if its an estate sale.

Looks like it. The hand-applied gilt is commonplace, but I don't recall seeing it used for the cuff lace, as well. Neat.

(Didn't have to do the upholstery tacking on the chair arm, though.)

Even knowing where the original owners were from might help narrow down the possibilities.
