Morels are popping up here in Middle Tennessee! I picked about 3 dozen today in the yard and sautéed them in butter with sea salt. They have a great nutty and earthy taste.

Hopefully we can start finding them in Michigan soon, gonna be a late season here, the Upper peninsula still has feet of snow on the ground...

Hell, the western end [Copper country] of the UP got another 20" of snow since last night. Hardcore mf's up there.

They are, my brother lives by the Houghton/Hancock area. My nephew was to start little league this week, he sent me a picture and the snow is still over the 4 foot fences

IN our house we have to ration them. Fry them in butter is the way to go, although with our late spring it will be at least 3 weeks before we see them.
