I've featured this particular monument before in its own thread, but not for Monument Monday; the statue and markers are at the grave of Col. William Colvill, commander of the 1st Minnesota Regiment at Gettysburg, which is located in the small cemetery at Cannon Falls. Minnesota.

Thank you for posting !! A Monument to a brave and fearless leader. IIRC he led the 1st Minnesota in their famous but deadly charge at Gettysburg on the 2nd day to plug a hole in the Union line. Also IIRC was he not under arrest right before the battle of Gettysburg?

Respectfully,
William
