ENDED Model 1816 Bayonet - Reduced

This bayonet is a standard US Model 1816, which retains much of the original finish. The marking on the flat of the blade is very deep and not clear, but it appears to be "US." It is also stamped W over 60 at the base of the shank. See photos.

Blade length - 15 3/4"
Socket length - 3"
Overall - 19"

This bayonet came with a Confederate-altered Model 1816 musket I purchased last month, which had been part of the George Moller collection, and fits nicely on the gun. However, I have no reason to believe that the gun and bayonet were together during the Civil War.
