I'm looking for photos of your dressed like you use when you are reenactors, with the accessories will be to them.
This applies to both North and South.
I would be very happy if you could explain to a little thing.
These will be posted on my website.
Then so am I looking for a moderator who would be willing to put up as many events as the civil war in my calendar.
Contact me if you are interested
Ann

Ann's English leaves much to be desired, but it would be a personal favor to me if you would send her pictures of you in your reenactment attire.

She is Swedish and is valiantly trying to get a board up that leans heavily on the USCW. She could use a little help.

Thanks my friend

Ann, it's nice to meet you. I wish I were a reenactor so I could be of more help. I still hope to visit your beautiful country one day, and I have fond memories of hosting a Swedish exchange student many years ago. I live in a county settled by Swedish immigrants in the 1800's and several of my students are their descendants. One of my best students has researched and learned her great-great grandmother even brought her piano with her and hauled it overland from Galveston in a wagon to the little community of West Sweden. :)

:pAnn is a sweetie, but she is still a Svenska flikka and not acceptable in Norske society.

There's an example of silly sectionalism that crosses centuries.

Corect, if he's really sneaky.

Really trivial: If he were Norske, his name would be Guttorm.

Anglicized. That would be Gunder. And remind him that "10,000 Swedes ran through the weeds, chased by one Norwegian."

Reality. The conflict is just funning each other. The kid probably doesn't know that the "conflict" has been going on for about a century. Before that, they did draw blood. When I was growing up, The Dad's best friend was a Swede and they enjoyed poking at each other. All the time.

I'll suspect that, in remote Texas, things might be different, but in the Dakotas, Norwegians tell Swedish jokes and the Swedes tell Norwegian jokes. And everyone does it over a beer while watching Viking football.

Sounds perfect, since he's in World History this year :) I'd guess there wasn't too much "fraternizing" in Texas, else the Swedes from here would have moved closer to Walnut Springs and Norse and Cranfills Gap (the Norwegians were here first).

I'm sorry they had to watch the Vikings. So there is no truth to the rumor that the best way to starve a Scandahoovian is to place his paycheck under his work boots?

So then the favorite food of Texas should be call Nor-Mex

Photo of our unit at a small local reenactment. We are equipped as Federal Infantry portraying the 22nd Illinois. The weapons are the P-53 Enfield rifled muskets. In the photo we are going through a weapons safety inspection before going on to the field. I wish I had better photos but these may help you a little.
