LeMat?

Anyone shoot a LeMat? How durable are they? Are they reliable, do they need frequent parts, go out of time quickly etc.? Not concerned with the shotgun barrel, I know those have issues. I'd be mainly shooting the roundball from the 9 chambers.

Guessing you have a replica? Sure wouldn't want to risk firing an original

I haven't see a repro, but I am sure they exist, and I would only fire a repro. A little more forgiving with a hot load than an original.

I spoke with a collector a while back who has several original Lemats. He commented the the repros were actually better built than the originals.

The reproduction Lemat revolvers have been available for some 20 or so years. There was even a Lemat mould made for them, it had one conical projectile and two buck shot rounds, a brass mould with a blued iron sprue plate.
