Leather powder flask.

I don't know if this is Civil war used or not. Its from an estate sale. Its a leather powder flask. The brass part is marked G&J W Hawksly Sheffield England. The England is not there but I believe it is England. Not sure when this would have been made. Any info on it very helpful.

It looks like a shot flask used for loading bird shot into shotguns.

Yep, that's a shot snake/pouch. There are some paintings of hunters wearing them such as "Sportman's Last Visit" by William Sidney Mount.
