My new Enfield, some of you might remember a few months ago I posted pictures of My former LAC. Enfield, It has since been returned, thanks to the help of all you members opinions, for it was all wrong, but now I have what I believe to be a 100% correct typical Tower 1862 dated and marked Enfield. Marked on stock in several places with the maker marks. Now if I could have your opinions again that would be great! Probability of Civil war service, all correct? No replacement parts? Not messed with in any way.

Looks great to me! Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

From The Photos looks like a nice one. Have you had the barrel off to see what the under markings are?

Have not taken taken the barrel off yet, but I am interested to see what markings are under there, the stock is marked R&W Aston, Then RW or TW on the stock flat, and behind trigger guard and in the ramrod channel too.
