Hi , i have the opportunity to buy a John. h Hall breech loaded flintlock musket from 1838 . The condition is good how much can i pay for it without doing a bad deal?

Very nice rifle You don't see many still in Flintlock. I would say anything 2 Gs or under would be a steel

Nice condition, the broken bit of stock is sadly pretty common, from improper disassembly.

The 1838 dated Halls in flint are pretty common. They easily pop up two or three times a year. This one with the crack probably is worthy about $2k-2500. They've been hitting $4k in recent years.
