Intriguing Forage Cap

This cap surfaced at the Richmond Show this past weekend and was purportedly out of Tennessee. The cap is made from a bleached linen like material, with polished cotton lining and thin leather sweatband. The bill and chinstrap are of white enameled leather and fastened by US eagle buttons.

Any idea as to origin or has anyone seen something like this?

I am reviewing older uniform threads and still find this interesting. I do not think I have ever heard of a Civil War cap with
'The bill and chinstrap are of white enameled leather and fastened by US eagle buttons." I hope someone can answer this question as I am stomped.
